Call for Teaching and Research Fellowship for 2022-23

MVJ College of Engineering, Bangalore, an Autonomous institution, established in 1982 to impart education in Engineering, Management and beyond. The institution embarked on the vision of being a social partner for the development of our country through its involvement in research, adopting novel technology in research and development activities. The Research Centers (RC) of MVJ College of Engineering is committed to excellence in Research. Ongoing activities include projects funded by AICTE, VGST, DST, ISRO, DRDO, DRDL etc. Some feathers on the cap of MVJCE:

• Offering 13 undergraduate programmes, 5 post graduate programmes, and   PhD through 6 Research Centres recognized by VTU, across various branches of Engineering and Management
• Positioned 3^rd in Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, for Academic Performance, in 2019-20

Eligibility:

(a) Candidates with PG Degree: The candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Engineering / Technology, or equivalent Degree, or M.S. (Research) Degree from the University or any other University recognized by VTU, with a minimum CGPA of 6.75 out of 10, or 60% aggregate marks, at either the Bachelor’s or the Master’s Degree.

(b) Candidates with valid VTU-ETR

Candidates are requested to submit their detailed resume with the copy of VTU-ETR 2020-21 Result sheet to research@mvjce.edu.in.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.The candidate must submit the title of the research area and the research proposal, along with his/her application, to the Expert Panel.

Fellowship:

• A Fellowship amount of 20000/- per month, for a period of 2 years from the date of registration will be given, based on the recommendation of the committee.
• Researchers who are receiving financial assistance from any other organization, or receiving regular salary, are not eligible to apply.

 

Facility in the Research Centre:

·       Research Scholars shall use the Research labs and other department laboratories.

• Research will be monitored by the concerned Research Guide and the Doctoral Committee.

 

Categories:

Part-Time programme:

Candidates having minimum professional experience of one year after his/her UG Degree from among faculty members working in any Engineering College / Polytechnic / University / Deemed to be University (recognized / accredited by appropriate bodies in India) or research staff of public / private organizations, are eligible to pursue Ph.D.

Fulltime Ph.D. programme:

(a) Candidates who take up Ph.D. programme on Fulltime basis shall not be allowed to take up any employment during the period of the Ph.D. programme. However, they can receive scholarship / fellowship / stipend / assistantship, if any, after intimating the respective Research Center.

(b) Candidates who take up Ph.D. programme on Fulltime basis under the Full-time category shall do research work in MVJ Research Centre. They shall be available during working hours for curricular, co-curricular and related activities.
