The Department of Chemical Engineering organized a one-day Workshop on ‘Industry Perspective on Process Control and Optimization’, for 8th semester Chemical Engineering students, on 22nd February 2019, at Seminar Hall 6. The Workshop was organized in collaboration with the Institute of Process and Control Engineers. Mr. Sanjay Venugopal was the Guest Speaker for the Workshop. He is working as Senior Technologist in Yokogawa, Bangalore. The students gained knowledge on Process Control and Optimization, from an Industry perspective.
Department of Chemical Engineering organized a Skill Development Programme on “A Practical Introduction to Computational Fluid Dynamics for Chemical Engineers” by Dr. Seshadri Kumar, Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, MVJCE. The workshop was conducted in the computer lab of Chemical Engineering Department from 11th October to 13th October 2018. The Professor explained the basic concepts of Computational Fluid Dynamics. Hands-On Examples and Demonstrating CFD Using – FreeCAD (for Geometric Model Creation) – Converge CFD (for Problem Setup and Solution) – TecPlot (for Visualization) was done during the workshop.
The Department of Chemical Engineering, MVJCE, organised a Workshop on “Advance Process Control” by Mr. Sanjay Venugopal, Yokogawa India Ltd, Japan from Institute of Process and Control Engineers, Bangalore Chapter on 7th October 2017 from 8:00AM to 4:00PM at Seminar hall No 5, and CAMD Lab. Mr.Sanjay Venugopal gave very clear picture of the industrial aspects with the support of live videos and examples. The hands-on session was very much interesting and practical exposure was given to all students individually.
