Club Activity – TECHSPARK

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized SPARK club activity ‘TECHSPARK’, on 31^st August, 2018, at Seminar Hall 5. The event started at 1:30 p.m and ended at 4:00 p,m. The 3^rd and 5^th Semester students of EEE Department participated in this activity. 29 teams were formed, with 2 students in each team. The activity comprised of three rounds.

Round I: FETCH’EM

For the first round, students were asked to solve a technical crossword. The time given was 15 minutes, and 14 teams cleared this round.

Round II: RAPID FIRE

Each team had to answer given questions within one minute. The teams who cleared maximum questions were shortlisted for the third round.

 Round III: CIRCUIT CRACKER

8 teams made it to the final round (Circuit Crackers). Here, half of a circuit and the output was given to the students. Each team had to design the other half of the circuit such that they could get the required output. The team which designed the correct circuit to suit the given output, based on the time of completion, was declared the winner. The event wound up by 4:00 p.m.

OUTCOME OF THE EVENT:

The students participated actively in the event. They were able to demonstrate their technical skills through this activity. This activity helped the students to develop innovative thinking in the field of Electrical and Electronics. It also helped them to learn about time management and team work.
