About Bengaluru
A study made by Minglebox, a leading Indian education and career network, led to findings that Bengaluru is the country’s favourite destination for high quality engineering and management education and career opportunities.
The seat of India’s entrepreneurship boom and home to some of the world’s leading corporations, Bengaluru is the ideal place to experience how technology and business are transforming India. In close proximity to MVJCE’s Whitefield campus are the Export Promotion Industrial Park (EPIP), one of India’s first technology parks, and the International Tech Park Bengaluru (ITPB), which hosts the offices of leading national and multinational IT and ITES firms.
MVJCE’s location makes it an excellent spot for networking and developing valuable professional contacts. Students in Bengaluru will have the opportunity to explore a diverse landscape, eat varied food, visit architectural monuments and World Heritage Sites and attend colourful festivals
When His Highness, Chamaraja Wodeyar, the Maharaja of Mysore, granted 3900 acres of land to the Eurasian and Anglo-Indian (E&AI) Association, Mysore and Coorg, he’d scarcely have imagined that in time to come, it would become the flourishing satellite town of Whitefield as we know it today.
His generous grant for the establishment of agricultural settlements at Whitefield, Glen Gordon and Sourmond in the Mysore State, paved the way for an Anglo-Indian village to be established – a self-sustained agriculture oriented community and the only settlement in India that Europeans and Eurasians could call their own.
Named after the late Mr. David S. White – who took a lively interest in establishing this new settlement and helping its advancement as the then, President of the E & AI Association, South India Ltd. – Whitefield quickly became renowned as an agricultural hub of its time.
Bengaluru has the highest number of software companies in India: 900+. Among all Indian cities, Bengaluru has produced the greatest number of scientists considered for Nobel Prize nominations.

Situated on a 15-acre campus in Whitefield, Bengaluru, MVJCE has state-of-the-art infrastructure, creating an environment for progressive learning and development. We are permanently affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). MVJCE has on-campus learning centres in collaboration with companies such as National Instruments & Infosys. Most of our programs are accredited by National Board of Accreditation.
About Department of Mechanical Engineering
The Department of Mechanical Engineering was started in the year 1982. Mechanical department is affiliated to VTU, Approved by AICTE & Accredited by NBA & NAAC. The Department has full time UG program (180 Intake) in Mechanical Engineering. There are 35 qualified and experienced faculties including 7 Doctorate’s in the department. The Department conducts interactive workshop, seminars, conferences, intra-collegiate competitions for technical skill enhancements and many other programs, on a regular basis. Mechanical Engineering Department is an approved Research Centre under VTU.
About ICARME 2019
International Conference on Advanced Research in Mechanical Engineering (IC-ARME) 2019 emphasizes on efficient and effective Mechanical Engineering, and delivers a central forum for a deeper understanding in the discipline by encouraging the qualitative/quantitative comparison and performance assessment of the emerging components of Mechanical engineering domains.
Also IC-ARME2019 encourages inter disciplinary research work. The main aim of the conference is to provide a platform to the researchers, scientists and practicing engineers from both academia as well as industry to meet and share advanced research and progress in Mechanical Engineering.
