WHO HEADS THE DEPARTMENT ?
Dr. A. NAVANEETHA GOPALAKRISHNAN
Besides having a Doctorate in Civil Engineering, Dr. NavneethaGopalakrishnan hasMastersDegrees in Business Administration and inSociology. In his 38 years of service, he has guided many students for their Ph.D. He has four books on Environment Science to his credit and presented a number of papers in National and International Conferences.
Dr.NavneethaGopalakrishnan was the Chairman – Faculty of Civil Engineering, Anna University, Chennai, and Director- Centre of Environmental Studies, Anna University, besides being a member of the Academic council of a number of Engineering Colleges in Tamil Nadu.He is the President- Society of Civil Engineers,Anna University. He has also been on the Editorial board of Indian Journal of Science and Technology. Besides these venerable positions, he has also served as Expert member in the Pollution Control Board, Selection Committee for Women Scientists, State Appraisal Committee and in the Water Supply and Sewage Board.
