DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS

The objective is to design a manually controlled aquatic robot, which can compete on an arena specially designed for an aquatic soccer match. The team whose robot scores the maximum goals is declared the winner.

  • The maximum dimension of the robot can be 30 x 30x 15 cm (l x b x h).
  • Robot must be capable of floating on water.
  • The robot may be wired or wireless.
  • The weight of the robot must not exceed 2.5 kg.
  • Maximum of 12Volt power supply will be provided.
  • Maximum number of participants per team is four.

ROUND 1

  • The first round is a penalty shootout, and bots with the highest goals shall move on to the next round
  • A ball is placed at a specified location on the arena.
  • Participants can drive, push or hit the ball into any of the goal posts.
  • Robots are not allowed to hold the ball.
  • Points = number of goals.
  • The teams with maximum points win.

ROUND 2

  • Winners from the 1st round will play Round 2.
  • A ball is placed at a specified location on the arena.
  • Time limit is 6 minutes. Teams will switch position every 3 minutes (Halftime).
  • Participants can drive, push or hit the ball into any of the goal posts.
  • Robot are not allowed to hold the ball.
  • Points = number of goals.
  • The teams with maximum points win.

ROUND 3

  • Winners from the 2nd round will play Round 3.
  • 3 balls are placed at specified locations on the arena.
  • Time limit is 6 minutes. Teams will switch position every 3 minutes (Halftime).
  • Participants can drive, push or hit the ball into any of the goal posts.
  • Robot are not allowed to hold the ball.
  • Points = number of goals.
  • The team with maximum points wins.

ARENA SPECIFICATIONS

  • Arena will be circular, with a radius of 1 .5 meters.
  • The boundary of the arena will have a white line, which is 5 cm thick.
  • The playing region of the arena will be black in color.
  • The arena will be at an elevation of 15 cm from the ground.
  • There will be no other boundaries around the arena.

RULES AND REGULATIONS 

  • Each team can have maximum four members.
  • Only one participant should control the robot and no player can be exchanged in the middle of a match.
  • A robot can push or hit the ball. It cannot withhold or grab the ball.
  • Decision of the Judges and Organizers shall be treated as final and binding on all, and cannot be contested. The Event Coordinator is the match referee. He takes all the decisions and participants have to abide by it.
  • No more  AC/DC power supply will be provided at the sight of play. Coordinators reserve the right to ask for the explanation of the robot.
  • The Coordinator can change the rules of the game, depending on the situation.
  • Positions of balls and obstacles in the arena will be decided by the organizers, on the day of the event.
  • The fastest and most balanced robot will win.
  • Ready made toys cars are not allowed.
  • Robot should be as per the given specifications.
  • Unethical behaviour could lead to disqualification. Faculty-coordinators have the right to take the final decision on any matter during the event.
  • The decision of the Judges will be final.
  • Certificates will be given to all the participants..

ELIGIBILITY (TEAM REQUIREMENTS)

  • Each team can have maximum four members.
  • Students from different institutions can form a team.
  • Each member of the team must carry the identity card of his/her institution.

PRIZE MONEY

  • 1st Prize – Rs.7500/-
  • 2nd Prize – Rs.5000/-
  • 3rd Prize – Rs.2500/-
