Webinar Report on ‘Artificial Intelligence, using MATLAB’

A Webinar on ‘Artificial Intelligence, using MATLAB’ was organized by the ECE Department on 25th September 2020, through the online mode from 12:50 pm to 4:00 pm. The speakers were Dr. G N Rathna (Principal Research Scientist, IISc., Bengaluru), Sri. Shashi Kumar J K and Sri. Rakshith B S (Coreel Technologies, Bengaluru). The program was presided over by Dr. P Mahabaleshwarappa (Principal, MVJCE), Prof. M Brindha (Vice Principal, MVJCE) and Prof. Vaman B Gudi (CoE & Registrar, MVJCE). The session started with 167 participants that included UG and PG students, and Faculty members of various departments.

Dr. G N Rathna delivered an insightful talk on Real time face recognition and different feature extraction methods. Sri. Shashi kumar J K explained about the industry trends, machine learning models, and MATLAB for deep learning. The talk helped the students to enhance their theoretical concepts, which would in turn, help them in their research activities.

Outcome of the Webinar :

The Webinar on the topics ‘Real time face recognition techniques’ and ‘Machine learning models’ was excellent. The presentation contained several videos and Mat lab real-time programs with results, making it an enjoyable experience for the participants.
