Graduation Day 2018 Report

MVJ College of Engineering has organizedtheXXXI Graduation Day on 19.05.18 (Saturday) in the Dr. M.V. JayaramanAuditorium at 2:00 p.m. Around 800 graduates with their parents attended the ceremony to celebrate their success.There was a special Arrangement of live telecast of Graduation day ceremony which was made for the parents in the Smt. RajalakshmiJayaraman Seminar Hall so that the parents can enjoy each and every moment of the ceremony comfortably.


The dignitaries entered the Auditorium in procession and took their seats on the dais.  VaishakhNambiar and .Raveena B. Naik, (3rd year CSE department) were the hosts for the Graduation day and welcomed the graduates and congratulated them on their success. TharunRavikumar, 3rd Year, CSE was called on stage to sing the invocation song.  The Chief Guest, P.P. Khandekar (Retd. Air Marshall, Air Force), Guest of HonorMr. B.B. Shetty (Regional head TCS, Bangalore), Prof. M Brindha(Vice Principal,MVJCE), Dr.N.Gunasekaran(Principal,MVJCE) and Dr. A.K. SatheeshBabu(Registrar, MVJCE) were invited to light the lamp.

 

A welcome speech was given by our Principal Sir(Dr. N. Gunasekaran) to all the passed out VTU rank holders, graduates and postgraduate students, highlighting the significance of the ceremony and thereby declaring the graduation ceremony open.He emphasized on the past achievements of our institute which included successful NBA visit, funded projects of 9.5 L,VertechX, Swayam, FDP’s for teaching and Non-teaching staff, signing of MOU with CLIK organization for meeting up students placement and industrial needs.

Ms. Ishwari Ginimav, Asst. Prof., CSE introduced the guest of honor Mr. B.B. Shetty, who had 25 years of experience in HR field and is serving TCS with full dedication and hard work in these last 25 yrs.The guest of honor Mr. B.B. Shettyshared his experience by telling he had a concept in life to work as a team to achieve success. He guided our students and told that learning and hard work is a key to success and is very much required for improving their professional career and life as there is no shortcut to it. He also discussed about the challenges that he faced in the last 25 years of his career. He also encouraged our students that they should choose their career according to their passion and interest and not by pressure from the society.

Prof. M. Brindha, Vice Principal, MVJCE introduced the chief guest Mr. P.P. Khandekar (Retd. Air Marshall, Air force).  The Chief Guest,Mr. P.P. Khandekar (Retd. Air Marshall, Air force) shared with our students the golden Mantras of success.  As the graduates are entering into the new phase of life, he shared his Mantraswhich included “Dream and dream big”, “Journey is more exciting thanthe final destination”, “Always have the positive attitude in life”, “knowledge is power”. The graduates were enlightened by his speech, golden words and knowledge that he shared with them.


Following the graduation day address, the certificate distribution ceremony commenced. Dr. A.K. SatheeshBabu (Registrar,MVJCE) read out the names of the VTU rank holders for UG and PG students and the certificates were handed over by our chief guest Mr. P.P. Khandekar and Principal Dr. N. Gunasekaran to the graduates of 2017.

The HOD’s of each department presented the graduates for conferment of the degree.

The graduates lead by the chief guest took a pledge to use their degrees and knowledge only for the betterment of our society.  Principal, Dr. N. Gunasekaran gave the vote of thanks declared the graduation ceremony dissolved.  All stood up for the National Anthem and the procession returned followed by the graduates.
