Mono-act is a theatrical piece played by a single actor. Only one person is physically present on the stage, he acts and reacts as though there is another person. The dialogue spoken in a Mono-act is called a monologue. Mono-acting has all the elements of a stage play – light, costume, music etc. The only difference is that in a mono-act, only a single person acts. The actor is judged based on how natural his acting is, and how well he’s able to convey his message to the audience through his acting. A Mono-acting competition was held at PES University. 4 minutes was given to each participant, to enact his/her scene.
