MVJ College of Engineering witnessed its 34th Graduation Day on 14.11.2021. MVJCE, positioned among the top 10 engineering colleges in Bangalore, Karnataka, has always aimed at enhancing our students’ skill development and thinking capabilities, which have in turn helped them achieve academic excellence, consistently. This year was no different – we take immense pride in informing that our students have achieved 14 ranks, 3 Gold medals in UG and 1 Gold medal in the PG Programme in the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) examination.
MVJCE’s 34th Graduation Day marked another milestone too, as this year’s Graduation Day also had our first batch of post graduates. 74 students graduated from our MVJ Autonomous PG batches.
At MVJCE, Graduation Day is more than just a customary ceremony. It is a day of celebration when we laud all the hard work put in by our students and salute the efforts put in by both our students and teachers – efforts that have helped our students emerge as successful engineering graduates.
On the Graduation Day, the energy of our graduates was unmatched as they ushered in the most awaited event of their academic life amongst their friends and teachers in our college. The event began with a photo session of the students from each department, capturing their memories on camera, along with their HODs, sharing the stage one last time.

The event was presided over by the Chief Guest Dr. A S Deshpande, Honourable Registrar of VTU, who graciously accepted our request to be present amongst our student community even amidst his busy schedule. The procession of the dignitaries began at around 2:10 PM.

Our Chief Guest Dr. A S Deshpande, along with principal MVJCE Dr. Mahabaleswarappa, Vice Principal Dr. M Brindha, Registrar & Controller of Examinations Prof. Vaman B Gudi and 13 Heads of Departments were welcomed to the dais by our student hosts of the event Ms. Lavanya SM (CSE department) and Krithi Vangala (CSE department).

The celebration began with an invocation song by Mr. Sanjeev from Chemical Engineering department seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha, followed by the state anthem by team Dhwani.

Our beloved principal Dr. P. Mahabaleswarappa delivered the welcome address and college report highlighting the achievements of the 2020 Graduates and 2021 Post Graduates. He then requested our Chief Guest to declare our 34th Graduation Day open. Following this was a brief introduction of our Chief Guest by Vice Principal, Dr. M. Brindha.

Chief Guest, Dr. A S Deshpande, in his Graduation Day address, stressed on the importance of being a good citizen, highlighting the difference between learning and unlearning. He congratulated all the Graduates and advised them to utilize the knowledge gained during their four years of Engineering study, for the betterment of the society and themselves. Following the Graduation Day address, Registrar and COE of MVJCE furnished the Graduate details and declared the autonomous Batch of MVJCE 2021 as Graduates. After this, was the Certificate distribution to all the Rank holders and Graduates of 2020 and PG 2021 batch. Graduates received their Degrees and a memento, in remembrance of all the good times at MVJCE – a mask to ensure safety and an MVJCE pen.

Graduates were then administered the oath and they promised to work for a better world, pledging to use their knowledge in socially responsible ways. This was followed by the Conferment of the degree which was led by Principal, MVJCE, Dr. P. Mahabaleswarappa.

The Vote of Thanks was delivered by our host Lavanya S M, where she thanked our Chief Guest for his presence, our Management for providing the opportunity to host one of the supreme events of our Institution, our Graduates, Coordinators of the event and all those who were involved in making this event a successful one.
Principal MVJCE, Dr. P Mahabaleswarappa, then dissolved the 34th Graduation Day ceremony. And finally, the dignitaries and Heads of Departments headed back to robing chamber, in a procession, to mark the end of Gradation Day.
