Heat Transfer Laboratory

Heat Transfer laboratory provides fundamental knowledge about modes of heat transfer, like conduction, convection and radiation, and their application. This lab course offered to the III Year Mechanical Engineering Students to make them understand the principles of boiling and Condensation modes of heat transfer and principles of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. Students have a good understanding of the theory underlying the experiments and the entire lab course is designed such that classroom lectures precede the lab work. To provide with the necessary skills to conduct experiments on conduction and convection of heat collect data, perform, analysis, and interpret results to draw valid conclusions through standard test procedures.

2. Free convection, Forced Convection and Pin Fin Experiments.
3. Heat Exchangers (Parallel Flow and Counter Flow).
4. Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
5. Transient Heat Conduction and Boiling and Condensation.
