The Department of Information Science & Engineering, MVJCE, organized an awareness session on ‘Students’ Placement Readiness, Higher Studies’ by Department alumnus Mr. Sreekanth G C (ISE – 2009 batch), System Analyst, TESCO, Bangalore. The session was organized for 4th and 6th semester students, on 8th April 2019, in Seminar Hall 4, MVJCE, at 1:30 pm.

Mr. Sreekanth shared his experience, regarding preparedness for an interview. He discussed the key points which need to be borne in mind, while going through the interview process. He explained the requirement and importance of doing Certification Courses, for having a better placement opportunity. He spoke about the soft skills that need to be developed by the students, according to current industry requirements. He also gave guidelines on writing various competitive exams, for those who are desirous of pursuing higher studies.

The session was very informative and helpful, as Do`s and Don’ts for getting placed successfully, were discussed.

Outcome of the Event:

This career guidance session from an alumnus with a rich industrial experience, will certainly help students to make the right choices regarding their career. It will help them understand Industry requirements, in order to prepare well and make themselves placement ready. Through this session the students understood the various phases of the campus recruitment process by leading companies offering challenging job profiles. They got useful guidelines for writing competitive exams, for pursuing higher studies.
