Club Activity on ‘Recyclean’

A Club activity Recyclean on Waste to wealth was organized by the Department of Chemical Engineering, MVJCE on 26.07.2023 from 1.30 PM to 4:00 PM in the seminar hall 5, MVJCE. The Guest for the event was Dr. K. J. Balasubramani, CEO and Director, Global scientific and research innovation center, Bangalore. The activity was attended by 50 participants from students of MVJCE.

About the Activity

The Club activity was based on using waste materials to make useful things. The activity also includes different rounds including educational quiz and jumbled sentences.

A Brief Account of the Activity

The session started with the welcome address by Subash & Sathlaj, Students, Department of Chemical Engineering for the faculty, students, and the Chief guest. He emphasized the importance of the activity and how to proceed and rules for the activity.

Activity started with time bound educational quiz. The students participated in groups. The winner of groups were further given chance to play round 2. The next round again was played in teams. It includes the right and meaningful formation of sentence showed in jumbled form. It was again a time bound activity. The selected teams from round 2 was made to participate in time bound crafty activity where they must make useful things from given waste material.

After the third round the chief guest was shown all the groups creativity and then from that chief guest selected two best teams as first winner and second winner. The first winner was awarded with prize money of 1000 Rs and second winner awarded with prize money of Rs 500.

First Prize – Iqra & Tejashwini of IV semester, Civil Department.
Second Prize – Jyothsna & Madhuresha of IV semester, Chemical Engineering.

The activity concluded with a vote of thanks to the MVJ management, Principal, CoE of MVJCE for providing this opportunity. The event organizers are grateful to chief Guest Dr. K.J. Balasubramani for delivering informative and impressive aspects on major advantage of creating useful material from waste material.
