Application of Robotics in Electrical Industries
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a GUEST LECTURE on ‘Application of Robotics in Electrical Industries’, on 21st January 2023. Third semester students from the departments of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Industrial IoT, along with faculty members from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering department, participated in this Lecture, which was conducted from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Jishnu R Krishnan, ANSCER Robotics, Bangalore.
The Speaker started the session with an introduction on robotics and went on to talk about the different types of robots, with an introduction to an industrial robot. An overview of some of the companies designing robots was given by the Guest Speaker.
The topic that sparked interest among students was the application of robots in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The session also gave a brief insight into the process of manufacturing a PCB board for a robot.
Outcome of the Event
- The students gained a lot of insight on Industrial Robots.
- They were introduced to ROS, Eagle and KiCad software.
- They understood the process of manufacturing PCB for robots.
