77th Independence Day

Marking the 77th Independence Day, MVJ College of Engineering resonated with the vibrant echoes of patriotism on the 15th of August, 2023. The day commenced with an impressive parade, orchestrated by the diligent NCC students, who guided the esteemed guests towards the Flag post. In attendance were revered personalities such as Dr. Suresh Babu, the Principal of MVJCE, Dr. Brinda, the Vice-principal, and Mr. Balakrishnan, the Principal of MVJ Pre-university College.

Amid a backdrop of national pride, the Principal of MVJCE gallantly hoisted the tricolor National Flag. With the notes of the National Anthem filling the air, a collective salute from the assembled attendees paid homage to the nation’s sovereignty. Dr. Suresh Babu, the Principal of MVJCE, then delivered a resonating Independence Day message, underscoring the significance of the day.

The cultural tapestry of the event was woven together by the spirited students hailing from various clubs, who showcased their talents through a diverse array of 16 captivating performances. The festivities were punctuated by the distribution of delectable sweets, adding a delightful touch to the celebration.

In a heartfelt gesture of appreciation, Prof. Ancilin Fernando extended gratitude on behalf of the institution. As the day’s proceedings reached a climax, a spirited Tug of War contest ignited between the male faculty members and the enthusiastic male students. This not only encapsulated the essence of healthy competition but also invigorated the crowd with excitement.

The entire program witnessed active participation and enjoyment from both students and faculty members alike.
