MVJ College of Engineering (MVJCE), located in Whitefield, Bengaluru, was established in 1982 as the flagship institution of the Venkatesha Educational Society. Over more than four decades, the institution has grown in stature and reputation, emerging as one of the leading engineering colleges in Karnataka. MVJCE has consistently delivered quality education in engineering, management, and allied disciplines, with its alumni making notable contributions in prestigious organizations across India and abroad.

The college is spread across a lush green 15 acre campus, equipped with state-of-the art infrastructure that supports academic excellence, research, and innovation. At present, MVJCE offers 15 undergraduate programs, 8 postgraduate programs, and Ph.D. programs across 9 recognized research centres, fostering a strong culture of research and interdisciplinary learning.

In recognition of its academic rigor and effective governance, MVJCE was granted Autonomous Status by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in 2019-20. The institution is approved by AICTE, affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, and recognized by the UGC under Sections 2(f) and 12(B). The Project Expo is a flagship academic and innovation event organized by MVJ College of Engineering (MVJCE). It aims to provide young innovators with a dynamic platform to showcase their ideas, projects, and working prototypes developed across diverse engineering disciplines. The Expo promotes creativity, interdisciplinary collaboration, and solution-driven thinking aligned with emerging and cutting-edge technologies.

The Project Expo is structured into three major streams-Mechanical Sciences, Computer Sciences, and Electrical Sciences-to ensure effective categorization and expert evaluation. With participation from multiple institutions, the Expo fosters healthy competition, an innovation-driven culture, and experiential learning among students.

Through attractive cash prizes, expert feedback, and interaction with industry leaders, the Project Expo plays a vital role in nurturing innovation, entrepreneurship, and research orientation among students, reinforcing MVJCE’s commitment to technical excellence and nation-building through youth-driven innovation.
