NSS
National Service Scheme popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Mahatma Gandhi Centenary year 1969 and aimed at developing student’s personality through community service. The overall objective of National Service is educational. This objective is attained through the service to the community.

OBJECTIVE

The broad objectives of NSS are to:

  • Understand the community in which they work
  • Understand themselves in relation to their community
  • Identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem solving process
  • Develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility
  • Utilize their knowledge in finding practical solution to individual and community problems
  • Develop competence required for group-living and sharing of responsibilities
  • Gain skills in mobilizing community participation
  • Acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitude
  • Develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disaster
  • Practice national integration and social harmony

NCC

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces with its headquarters in New Delhi, India. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis as a Tri-Services Organisation, comprising the Army, the Navy and the Air Force, engaged in developing the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens.

The soldier youth foundation in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, higher secondary, colleges and universities all over India. The cadets are given basic military training in small arms and drill

AIM OF NCC:

  • The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. 
  • NCC aims at creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose. 
  • NCC also provides an environment conducive to motivating young Indians to join the armed forces.

 

NCC at MVJCE:

Bangalore HQ gave permission for our MVJCE at the month of May 2022

Totally 52 cadets were allocated for our MVJCE (18 Cadets -1st year; 18 Cadets -2nd year and 16 Cadets – 3rd Year)

First batch students were selected (Enrolment)  was done on 17.08.2022. There were 18 cadets were selected (11 SD + 7 SW)
