The Drone Challenge is an event where participants control drones through RC (remote control) and navigate them through obstacles and hurdles while carrying a specific payload. The main focus of the event is not only piloting skills but also the prompt delivery of the payload to its designated destination. The elegance and precision of payload delivery are the key factors injudging the participants. The judging criteria include the height at which the payload is dropped, the stability of the drone during delivery, and minimizing the impact on the cargo. A significant aspect of the event is the technique used for deploying the cargo without compromising stability.
The winners of the event were KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, represented by Dhanush Kumar S, Aravind S, and Prasanna Kumar S. The runners-up were Loyola Academy Degree College, represented by K Sai Yashwanth Kumar, Sujay Yerra, and K Pavan Kumar.
