DYNAMECH Club Activity on Environmental Design Challenge

DYNAMECH Department Club Activity on Environmental Design Challenge was successfully conducted, in association with ISTE, IIEC and IQAC – MVJ College of Engineering, on 08th July 2023 from 10.30 am to 02.30 pm in CIM Lab. This DYNAMECH Club Activity was designed to extract the talent inherent with the students and disseminate awareness about environmental pollution and instigate the students to think about the solutions to these problems. Overall, 29 students of 4th semester Mechanical Engineering participated in the event with enthusiasm and zeal.

Dr. A Uday Kumar, Chief Scientist, CSIR – NAL, addressed the students and gave awareness about environmental pollution and the need to address it. He also stressed on the need to inculcate design thinking to students.

The competition started with Dr. Santhosh N, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, giving an overview of the rules and regulations to be followed. The Club activity, ‘Environmental Design Challenge’, comprised of two major stages. In the first stage, the participants identified the problem pertinent to environment and gave solutions, and in the second stage, the students presented the solution to environmental problem, which they tried to address. The students were judged based on the environmental problem, that they identified and how they materialized the solutions.
