The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized the Board of Studies meeting on 10th September 2022, at seminar hall 4. The meeting started at 1.30pm and concluded at 4.30 pm. The faculty of EEE department attended the meeting. The Meeting was presided by Dr. P Mahabaleswarappa, Principal, MVJCE and Dr. Soumya Mishra, HOD, EEE, MVJCE.
Following external BOS members were present in the meeting

- Mr. Lakshmanan A, Technical Director, INDEFINE, Bengaluru (Alumni member)Dr.P Mahabaleswarappa, Principal, MVJCE welcomed the BOS members and gave a brief information related to College, Autonomy and syllabus. Dr. Soumya Mishra, HOD, Department of EEE, welcomed the BOS members and explained the NEP 2021 scheme to the external BOS members and asked for the suggestions.
Dr. Parimala R V appreciate the format of syllabus as it contains laboratory sessions, web links and applications in each module. She suggested to remove subjects such as measurements, disaster management from the scheme and suggested to include field theory, AI and ML related subjects. She also suggested to make three courses related to power systems and two courses related to electric machines an both are vast areas.
Mr. Lakshmanan A gave suggestions related to ability enhancement courses. He suggested that the Ability Enhancement courses can be conducted related to SCADA designing, PCB designing and troubleshooting, IoT application to electrical systems, and smart homes and security. Ability enhancement courses should be more of practical oriented rather just a power point presentation. PLC kits can be procured from the college so that students can work with them regularly and get well versed with their usage which helps them in getting placed in core companies.
OUTCOME OF THE MEETING:
The faculties of EEE Department received the suggestions for corrections in NEP 2021 scheme and syllabus from the subject experts which is helpful to frame the scheme and syllabus which fulfil the current trends and industrial needs.
