At MVJ College of Engineering in Bengaluru, inaugural celebration for the First Year B.E. Courses for the academic year 2024–25 was held on September 6, 2024 at Dr. M.V. Jayaraman Auditorium. The function was graced by parents and excited first-year students.
The chief guest was Dr. Rajeev Gowda, a professor at the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore and a former member of parliament.
The event began with a prayer song by the students of Dhwani -Manojna and Pranathi and then the lighting of a traditional lamp by our esteemed Chairman, Shri. M.J. Balachander and Dr. Rajeev Gowda with our principal, Dr. Suresh Babu, and IQAC Dean, Dr. Asha Joseph.
Dr. Hameem Shanavas, Dean Student Affairs delivered a heartfelt and gracious welcome address, extending a warm reception to the chief guest, parents, and students.Â
The Principal Dr. Suresh Babu presented the college report and felicitated the guests.
In his address he outlined the vision and goals of the institution and introduced the key Chairpersons and Heads of the departments of MVJCE. He highlighted the various national level achievements of students of MVJCE and shared the key events and expos conducted at MVJCE in the recent months.
Dean affiliation and accreditation Dr. M. Brindha introduced the Chief Guest Dr. Rajeev Gowda offering context about his distinguished background and contributions.
As a gesture of appreciation, bouquet and mementos were presented to the Chief Guest by our Principal.
The event’s Chief Guest, Dr. Rajeev Gowda, gave a perceptive speech to the audience, comparing his college experiences with the resources and possibilities that are currently accessible to young students.
He continued appreciating MVJ College of Engineering’s accomplishments and highlighting its contributions to the community of students.
He discussed his goal of connecting different institutions, including IISc and IIM-B, and those that provide a forum for open communication between students and faculty members, leading to the advancement of research and innovation across a range of disciplines, when speaking at prominent Bengaluru universities and private companies.
In addition to congratulating the students and their parents on making the correct choice in selecting MVJCE for their academic path, Dr. Rajeev Gowda stated his expectation that they will go on to achieve success in the future.
Controller of Examinations Prof. Kumar presented the academic regulations and Examination process of MVJCE.
The event was concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. Asha Joseph, Dean IQAC.
With pride and joy, everyone stood and showed their respect for the national anthem.
