The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized an engaging technical activity titled “One Day Workshop on Robots That Learn: How Foundation Models Are Changing Robotics” on 16.05.2026 at 9:30 am – 3:30 pm. The event was held in lab room number 334, with enthusiastic participation from around 42 students, delivered by Mr. Prabhat Shankar, Industrial AI Solutions Lead at ABB, for students from ECE and other streams. The event provided an insightful overview of how modern AI techniques, such as imitation learning and foundation models, are transforming traditional robotics into intelligent, adaptable systems. The workshop combined conceptual sessions with hands-on exposure, allowing students to understand and explore the Integration of vision, language, and action in next-generation robotic applications.
