STTP on ‘Circuit Simulation using NI Multisim’

The Department of Electrical and Eelectronics Engineering organized a Short-Term Training Program (STTP) on the topic ‘Circuit Simulation using NI Multisim’. The event was organized from 19th to 21st 2022 in Room No. 201. The event started at 10.00 am and concluded at 03.30 pm. The 5th semester students and the faculty of EEE department attended the event.

The programme started at 10.30 am with welcome speech and guest introduction. Mr. Manimaran A, Manager, VI Solutions, Bangalore, took over the two sessions of Day 1. In Session 1, he presented detailed information on ‘Introduction to Multisim graphical interface and Simulation capabilities. Session 2 was a hands-on session on ‘Advanced analysis to verify circuit design’.

The Day 2 programme started at 10.30 am with a welcome speech Mr. Nagarajan G, Lead Engineer, VI Solutions, Bangalore took over the two sessions of Day 2. Session 1 was a hands-on session on “Introduction to post processor and ways to use results for analysis”. Session 2 was also a hands-on session on ‘Design circuits to PCB layout’.

The Day 3 programme started at 10.30 am with a welcome speech. Mr. Nagarajan G, Lead Engineer, VI Solutions, Bangalore took over the two sessions of Day 3 also. The first session was a hands-on one on “Design blocks and buses to check for failures” Session 2 was also a hands-on on ‘Multisim MCU Co-simulation Module’.

Outcome of the Event:

The programme will help students to:

  • Simulate the theoretical concepts in Multisim and prototyping the actual circuit with NI ELVIS.
  • Compare the simulation with real world measurements inside the Multisim environment.
  • Do hardware projects in an efficient manner.
