The Department of Information Science and Engineering (ISE) is organizing a Guest Lecture on “Blockchain Essentials: From Fundamentals to Real-World Implementation” on 26 September 2026 (Saturday) from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Seminar Hall 1.
The session will be delivered by Dr. Jubilant J. Kizhakkethottam, Professor and Head, Department of Information Technology, IoT and Medical Engineering, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Tiruchirappalli.
This lecture will introduce students to the core concepts of blockchain technology, its architecture, consensus mechanisms, smart contracts, and real-world applications. Participants will gain insights into how blockchain is transforming industries such as finance, healthcare, supply chain management, and digital services, while exploring emerging opportunities in this rapidly evolving field. The session aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical implementation, equipping students with industry-relevant perspectives on blockchain technology.
