The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), MVJ College of Engineering, is organizing a two-day hands-on workshop on “Analog Design: From Fundamentals to Schematic Design, Layout Design, RC Extraction, and Design Optimization” on 5th and 6th October 2026. The workshop will be conducted by Mr. Kasyap V. Karun, Staff Analog Circuit Design Engineer at Samsung, who will provide participants with industry-oriented insights into Analog IC Design and VLSI design methodologies.
The sessions will cover MOSFET operation, small-signal analysis, current mirrors, differential amplifiers, frequency compensation, stability analysis, layout design, parasitic extraction, and Cadence Virtuoso simulations. Through extensive hands-on training using industry-standard EDA tools, participants will gain practical exposure to schematic design, circuit simulation, layout implementation, and post-layout verification. This workshop will enable students to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world semiconductor industry practices while enhancing their understanding of the complete analog IC design flow.
