SRISHTI Club, Department of Civil Engineering, MVJCE, organized an event CAD PLOT, on 9th January, 2023. The main objective of the event was to create interest among students in using AUTOCAD software for improving their employability and productivity. All the participants were encouraged to finish the CAD plot for a residential building with detailed specification within the allotted time of 2 hours. Based on the detailed drawing and technical explanation by individual participants, prizes were announced by the expert committee members. The event was conducted in CAD lab 153 and seminar hall 4. 23 students from the Civil Engineering department participated in the event

The Event comprised two rounds.
ROUND 1: Planning and Plotting a plan and frontal elevation of residential building (09.00 am – 11.00 am)
The students were divided into teams, with a maximum of two students in each team. They were given specification for plotting plan and frontal elevation of a residential building with Vaastu Compliance.
ROUND 2: Presentation of the plot (11:00 am – 12:00 pm)
The students presented the drawings to Chief Guest Mr. Vikas Chandra, Executive Engineer, BMRCL, Bangalore.
Announcement of Result (12:10 am – 01:10 pm)
The Chief Guest gave the Keynote Address, after which the results were announced.

- Those who get the maximum score will be placed higher in the rank list.
- The decision of the organizers with respect to the results will be final. No queries in this regard will be entertained.
- Any participant found to be indulging in any form of malpractice will be immediately disqualified.

Outcome of the Event
The event helped to foster a healthy interaction among participants. It helped them to display plotting and planning skills and understand the requirements of the industry for a CAD Draughtsman. It also helped in bridging the gap between industry and academics.
