The Department of Information Science and Engineering organized a club event titled ‘Aarambh’ on 25th November 2023, at Dr. M. V. Jayaraman Auditorium. The event started at 12:30 PM and concluded at 4:00 PM. A total of 300 students from the 7th and 1st semesters of the Department of ISE and CSE (Data Science) participated in this event. The Chief Guest, Prabhu Barrow Selvaraj, Storage Trainer at Bangalore CSC for Hetwel Enterprise, inaugurated the event and shared his industry knowledge about Storage Area Networks (SAN) and its various types with the students.
During his session, he emphasized the key concepts of Storage Area Networks and explained different types of SAN, including Fibre Channel Protocol (FCP), Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI), Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE), and Non-Volatile Memory Express over Fibre Channel (FC-NVMe)
