DYNAMECH Club Activity on ‘3D Modelling’ was successfully conducted by the Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with ISTE, IIEC and IQAC – MVJCE, on 23rd February 2024 from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm. This DYNAMECH Club Activity was carried to influence upon students, the importance of 3D modelling, for their career and future design development. 46 students participated in this event from ME, AE and AS department. Mr. Bharath P, Scientist – C, Centre Machine Tools & Aggregates (C-SMPM), CMTI is invited as a chief guest for this event.
CLUB ACTIVITY THEME:
Convert 3D model diagram in the CAMD software into 2D Drawing.
Problem Statement:
Learning to transition between 3D isometric and orthographic views is important for engineering students for several reasons. The following significant reasons are understanding the spatial relationship, technical drawing, Design communication, manufacturing, construction, problem solving and software proficiency. Overall, mastering the transition between 3D isometric and orthographic views is fundamental for engineering students as it enhances their spatial visualization skills, improves their technical drawing abilities, facilitates effective communication, and prepares them for real-world engineering challenges.
Requirements:
- Solid Edge software
- A3 Sheet for manual drawing
- Front, Top and Side View of the Design
- Mention scale of dimensions
- Uniqueness and neatness of the design.
