The Karnataka Rajyotsava was celebrated on November 1, 2023, in MVJ College of Engineering at the college amphitheatre. The event was hosted by the Karnataka Rajyotsava Organizing team in an attempt to honour Karnataka’s rich heritage and Culture with the crowd of about 500 students.
In the morning , at 9:00 am programme began with the welcoming of the guests.
Dr. Srinivas L Gombi, The Dean of Academics of MVJCE, was the chief guest for the event. Prof. Shivakumar H D from the Mechanical Dept. was the guest for the event. Dr. Suresh Babu, the Principal of MVJ College of Engineering. Dr. M Brindha, the Vice Principal of MVJCE all presided to celebrate Karnataka Rajyotsava.
This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, which signified the beginning of the event. After this, the state anthem was played. The main event started with the performance by the Dhwani club (Folk song). Professor Deepa, Kannada lecturer spoke about Karnataka history and its rich culture. The dignitaries spoke about what Karnataka means to them and how can we possibly contribute to its upliftment and the necessity of Kannada language in educating the society. A dance performance was given by the college Nrityatrix club. Then a speech was delivered from a student of Sahithya club about Karnataka Rajyotsav.
It was a closely contested event until the very end, all these events kept the students engaged and actively participant.
The day of celebration ended with the great experience and spirit of Karnataka.
