An industrial visit to the U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), ISRO, Bangalore is scheduled on 29th August 2025 by the department of Electronics and Communication (Advanced Communication Technology). This visit will provide students with insightful exposure to India’s cutting-edge space technology and satellite development processes. URSC is the lead centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) responsible for design, development, assembly & integration of communication, navigation, remote sensing, scientific and small satellite missions.
During the visit, students will have the opportunity to gain an overview of satellite subsystems, payload integration, and the advanced testing facilities used in satellite development. Experts at URSC are expected to explain the various stages involved in satellite missions from initial design to launch preparation while highlighting key technologies used in advanced communication systems, remote sensing, and scientific satellite applications.
This industrial visit is expected to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical application motivating students to explore career paths in satellite communication, signal processing, wireless technologies, RF system design, space research, and other related domains in the field of communication engineering.
