Project EXPO 2024

Introduction:

MVJ College of Engineering, situated in Whitefield, Bangalore, established in 1982 as the flagship institution of the Venkatesha Educational Society, has grown significantly over the past 41 years. It has been providing quality education in engineering and management, earning a reputation as one of the top engineering institutions in Bangalore. Alumni of MVJCE hold prestigious positions in organizations across the country and globally. The institution boasts a lush green 15-acre campus with state-of-the-art facilities. Currently, MVJCE offers 15 undergraduate programs, 8 postgraduate programs, and hosts 6 research centers. Notably, all eligible undergraduate programs are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi, and the college itself bears NAAC accreditation. Recognized for its excellence, the college attained autonomous status in 2019, conferred by the UGC.

Efforts and Achievements: MVJCE has been proactive in implementing innovative programs guided by a dynamic Board of Governors. Notable initiatives include: Innovative practical activities across eleven verticals like ideas box, tomorrow’s engineer, foundational skills in integrated product development, entrepreneurship development, and tinkering laboratory. Implementation of NEP2020, absorbing maximum benefits of committee recommendations. Promotion of innovation and research through Project Expo, with the first Expo conducted in 2019 under the theme “Readying the students for Industry 4.0,” inaugurated by Dr. Anil Sahasrabuddhe, the then Chairman of AICTE.

Project Expo 2024: Project Expo 2024 at MVJCE is planned on a larger scale with enhanced participation from institutions not only in Karnataka but also from neighboring states. Scheduled for 27th April 2024, the Expo’s theme is “Innovative Engineering Solutions Beyond Boundaries,” aiming to inspire young minds and provide a platform for students to showcase their potential in transforming ideas into innovative projects or prototypes in cutting-edge technology areas.

Project Proposals and Highlights: Total project proposals received: 418Project proposals eligible after level 1 evaluation: 329Outside project proposals submitted: 78Expected number of students during Expo: 1000+The Expo will be attended by top industrialists, academicians, alumni, students, and faculty from various engineering, diploma, and PU colleges. Seminars and panel discussions by domain experts will be organized during the Expo. All projects will be judged by experts from industry and academia, with attractive prize money of 2 lakhs awarded to the winners.
