National conference on “Conference on Sustainable Infrastructure Development”

International Conference on Recent Advances in Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering.

Introduction:

MVJ College of Engineering, situated in Whitefield, Bangalore, established in 1982 as the flagship institution of the Venkatesha Educational Society, has grown significantly over the past 41 years. It has been providing quality education in engineering and management, earning a reputation as one of the top engineering institutions in Bangalore. Alumni of MVJCE hold prestigious positions in organizations across the country and globally. The institution boasts a lush green 15-acre campus with state-of-the-art facilities. Currently, MVJCE offers 15 undergraduate programs, 8 postgraduate programs, and hosts 6 research centers. Notably, all eligible undergraduate programs are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi, and the college itself bears NAAC accreditation. Recognized for its excellence, the college attained autonomous status in 2019, conferred by the UGC.

Efforts and Achievements: MVJCE has been proactive in implementing innovative programs guided by a dynamic Board of Governors. Notable initiatives include: Innovative practical activities across eleven verticals like ideas box, tomorrow’s engineer, foundational skills in integrated product development, entrepreneurship development, and tinkering laboratory. Implementation of NEP2020, absorbing maximum benefits of committee recommendations. Promotion of innovation and research through Project Expo, with the first Expo conducted in 2019 under the theme “Readying the students for Industry 4.0,” inaugurated by Dr. Anil Sahasrabuddhe, the then Chairman of AICTE.

Project Expo 2024: Project Expo 2024 at MVJCE is planned on a larger scale with enhanced participation from institutions not only in Karnataka but also from neighboring states. Scheduled for 27th April 2024, the Expo’s theme is “Innovative Engineering Solutions Beyond Boundaries,” aiming to inspire young minds and provide a platform for students to showcase their potential in transforming ideas into innovative projects or prototypes in cutting-edge technology areas.

Project Proposals and Highlights: Total project proposals received: 418Project proposals eligible after level 1 evaluation: 329Outside project proposals submitted: 78Expected number of students during Expo: 1000+The Expo will be attended by top industrialists, academicians, alumni, students, and faculty from various engineering, diploma, and PU colleges. Seminars and panel discussions by domain experts will be organized during the Expo. All projects will be judged by experts from industry and academia, with attractive prize money of 2 lakhs awarded to the winners.

About Department

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was started in the year 1982. ECE department is affiliated to VTU, Approved by AICTE and Accredited by NBA. Department has fulltime UG program in Electronics and Communication System and PG program in Digital Electronics & Communication. Department conducts regular interactive workshops, seminars, conferences, intra collegiate competitions for technical skill enhancements and many other programs. ECE department is an approved Research center under VTU.

Advanced technologies have focused to interact with the real time environment by integrating the methods of Compute, Communicate and Control (3C’s). In recent days, many methodologies have been proposed for integrating 3C’s to access data from real time environment. The objective of our International conference titled “Design Innovation for 3C’s -Compute, Communicate and Control (NCDI3C – 2024)” is to provide an excellent platform to bring together students, faculty members, researchers, industrial people and scientists for discussing and exchanging their ideas and update themselves the recent methodologies of Compute, Communicate and Control. Objective of the Short-Term Training Program

The Short-Term Training Program (STTP) – Image Processing Techniques Using Generative AI aims at providing industry exposure to students where experts from reputed organizations would help students get a deeper understanding of Image Processing techniques. Students will learn in qualitatively and quantitatively method about the fundamentals of Image Processing using Generative AI.

The objective of the Training Program is to encourage the students of our institution to improve their knowledge and skills in Image processing and Artificial Intelligence and help them to shape their career through excellence in the field.

The program was organized with the objective to provide platform for the students to showcase their talent with a competitive spirit.

About the event

Department of Computer Science Engineering and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Engineering has organized a Short-Term Training Program on Image Processing Techniques Using Generative AI on 27.05.2023 at 10:30 in Dr. M V Jayaraman auditorium. The training program was led and executed successfully under the guidance of Prof. Syed Musadiq Illahi. The 6th, and 8th semester students of the department of CSE and AIML have attended the event.
