The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized an Add-on Lecture on“Wireless Intelligence for Healthcare: From Flexible Antennas to Smart Biomedical Systems” on 28 August 2026 at 10:30 a.m. in the Dr. M. V. Jayaraman Auditorium. The session was delivered by Dr. Swetha Amit, Research Scientist and Founder of Smart Beam Resonates, who shared her expertise in the rapidly evolving field of wireless technologies for healthcare applications. The lecture was attended by 7th-semester students from the ECE and ACT Departments, and around 220 students attended the session.
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organised a Board of Studies meeting on 22nd August at 10 AM in Seminar Hall 2. The session commenced at 10 AM with a welcome address by Prof. Renjini E. Nambiar, Hod, EEE. The meeting focused on evaluating semester-wise course distribution, tutorial components, laboratory requirements, and third-semester syllabus modifications to enhance academic effectiveness and industry relevance. Board of studies members and faculty members deliberated on course sequencing, content rationalisation, integration of emerging technologies, and practical learning components across various semesters.
The Central Library organized a hands-on training Programme titled “Leveraging IEEE and EBSCO Engineering Suite for AI-Assisted Research Productivity and Authorship” on 12 August 2026
The Department of Mechanical Engineering organised an add-on lecture titled “Advanced Manufacturing Process” on 08 June 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, in Seminar Hall-1.
The industrial visit was organized for students from the Department of Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering to provide practical exposure to helicopter manufacturing, assembly, and testing processes carried out at the HAL Helicopter Division, Bengaluru. The visit aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and industrial practices in the aerospace sector.
A guest lecture on "Polymers for Functional Materials" was organized by the Department of Chemistry on 02.06.2026 at Dr.M.V Jayaraman auditorium. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Lakshmi R.V., Principal Scientist at NAL, Bengaluru, who is a distinguished expert in materials science. The program was attended by faculty members and around 320 firstyear chemistry cycle students
