Curriculum

PG Program – Transportation Engineering

  • The Curriculum of the Post graduate program in Transportation Engineering has been framed to meet the NEP (National Education Policy) requirements, by focusing on a holistic approach to the teaching-learning process. 
  • The Curriculum has been carefully designed, taking into consideration all the recommendations of NEP, with inputs from eminent experts from Academia and Industry.
  • The course structure has 80 Credits. Courses related to Skill and Career advancements have been added to the program.
  • The course has specific Ability Enhancement Courses (AEC) in the fields of Software Applications in Traffic Engineering and High Speed Railway Connectivity, under online platforms like NPTEL, SWAYAM and other MOOCs, to enhance the professional skills of students.
  • Professional Electives covering different areas of Transportation Engineering, like Road safety and management, Intelligent Transportation system, Pavement Evaluation and management, Theory of Traffic flow, Remote sensing and GIS in engineering, are included in the 2nd  semester.
  • Advanced mathematical method, Research methodology and IPR have been added in the scheme, to improve the computation skills and research perspective of students and prepare them to approach societal challenges, with confidence.
  • Students will undergo Internships, Mini-Projects, Seminars, Online Certification Courses and project work on societal issues help in the comprehensive development of our students – one of the important goals of NEP.
  • The Curriculum for the Post graduate program in Transportation Engineering ensures that the Postgraduates who leave the portals of MVJCE at the end of two years, are skilled professionals who possess great character and a social consciousness to transform the society around them.
