OVERVIEW

MVJCE has an active Institute Research Promotional Centre (IRPC). Eight Departments, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics have been recognized as Research Centres by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi.

The College has provided a conducive ambience for research activities, in terms of the laboratory facilities, and incentives for publishing research papers in Scopus and Web of Science Journals with high impact factors listed in Quartile 1 and Quartile 2 of SCImago Journal ranking. The faculty and research scholars of the College regularly present their research findings at conferences of repute.

Institute Research Promotional Centre (IRPC) and Research Monitoring Committee (RMC) at MVJCE help to created a research culture among faculty members and students. The College facilitates and encourages research culture among the faculty and students. It enables a congenial and propitious environment for technological development, providing all the infrastructural facilities and monitoring the research activities of faculty and students. Faculty members are empowered to take up research activities, utilizing the facilities available at the Institute. The Institute Research Promotional Centre of the College motivates the faculty members to write feasibility studies and research projects, and get funding from various funding agencies like DRDO, DST, AICTE, DBT, KSCST, VGST.

FELLOWSHIP

A Doctoral Fellowship/Stipend Programme has been introduced with the dual objectives of encouraging and supporting talented students aspiring to pursue research in engineering and related fields, and providing financial assistance to eligible students for their full-time Ph.D. studies. This initiative aims to foster the advancement of knowledge and technology through dedicated research efforts.

The Doctoral Fellowship/Stipend Program is structured to support eligible students for a standard duration of 3 years providing financial support to eligible students in the form of a monthly stipend. The stipend is set at ₹35,000 per month. In cases where an extension is granted (up to 6 months), the stipend terms and conditions for the extension period will be determined based on the specific circumstances and the Institute’s policies.

Guidelines

To ensure that scholars fully commit to their research and make significant progress during their PhD studies, the following guidelines are established regarding their engagement and financial support:
