Analysis and Design of Digital Circuits Laboratory

Analysis and Design of Digital Circuits Laboratory

In the Digital Electronics Lab, students are introduced to the foundational concepts of digital integrated circuits (ICs). Here, they gain valuable hands-on experience by working directly with ICs, learning how to implement basic circuits that form the building blocks of digital systems. This practical approach equips students with the essential skills needed to understand more complex digital circuits and systems.

Signal & Systems Laboratory

A signal processing lab is designed to provide students with practical experience in analyzing, processing, and manipulating signals, both in the time and frequency domains. Signal & Systems labs play a crucial role in reinforcing theoretical concepts learned in signal & systems courses and providing students with hands-on experience in applying those concepts to real-world problems.

Networks & Simulation Laboratory

A combined Network Theorem and Simulation Lab would likely offer a comprehensive learning experience covering both theoretical concepts and practical applications in the field of electrical engineering or telecommunications. students are introduced to fundamental network theorems and concepts such as Ohm’s Law, Kirchhoff’s Laws (KCL and KVL), Thevenin’s Theorem, Norton’s Theorem, Superposition Theorem, and Maximum Power Transfer Theorem using MATLAB.

Principles of Communication Systems Laboratory

A communication software lab typically focuses on teaching students about the design, implementation, and analysis of various communication protocols and systems. Communication software labs are crucial for students pursuing degrees in Electronics engineering, or telecommunications. This lab provides hands-on experience with networking technologies and protocols, which are essential for careers in fields like network engineering, software development, cyber security, and IoT development.

Analog Electronics Laboratory

In the Analog Electronics Circuit Lab, students are introduced to the fundamental principles that underpin electronic systems. Analog and Digital Electronics Laboratory

These labs provide hands-on experience for students to understand the principles and applications of both analog and digital circuits. Both analog and digital electronics labs provide students with valuable hands-on experience and reinforce theoretical concepts taught in lectures. They also help students develop practical skills in circuit design, analysis, troubleshooting, and prototyping, which are essential for careers in fields like electrical engineering, computer engineering, and embedded systems development.

Communication Laboratory

Communications Laboratory provides students with a solid understanding for analysis of signals in time domain and frequency domain. Students learn to simulate and design many types of communication circuits, and then assemble, measure, and evaluate the circuits using laboratory instruments. Students develop competency in measurement science by utilizing modern advanced instruments, which are similar to instruments presently being used by engineers in industry

Electromagnetic Laboratory

In the Electromagnetic lab students study the variation of field strength of radiated wave with distance from transmitting antenna. Linear and circular polarization phenomenon of antennas is also studied. Students also demonstrate and validate the reciprocity property of transmitter and receiver antenna. The plot of radiation pattern, 3dB beam width, directivity, gain and VSWR measurement of various antennas- Simple dipole, folded dipole, Yagi-Uda, Hertz, Log periodic, Loop, micro strip, array, E and H plane, Slot and Helix are also studied and measured. This lab provides students and researchers with hands-on experience in understanding, designing, and analyzing communication systems.

HDL Programming Laboratory

The HDL (Hardware Description Language) Programming Laboratory typically involves hands-on activities related to designing and implementing digital circuits using HDLs such as Verilog or VHDL. Students often start with simple exercises to understand basic concepts such as logic gates, flip-flops, and finite state machines. As they progress, they work on more complex projects involving designing and implementing digital systems like counters, adders, multipliers, and even small processors. The laboratory includes FPGA development boards, simulation software, and sometimes actual hardware components like logic gates and flip-flops for hands-on experimentation. Students write HDL code to describe the behavior of digital circuits, simulate their designs to verify functionality, and then program FPGAs to implement the circuits in real hardware.

ARM Microcontroller & Embedded Systems Laboratory

ASIC Design Laboratory

An ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) Design Laboratory focuses on practical activities related to designing and implementing custom integrated circuits tailored for specific applications. System Verilog Laboratory
