Dr. Sushobhan Avasthi delivered a wonderful talk about solar cell basics, starting from silicon based solar cells he explained the structure, new materials used and the working principle of all the three generations of solar cells. The talk was very informative to the first-year engineering students. It also covered the details of status of solar cell at the industry level and what contribution engineers can provide for betterment of solar technologies. Finally, Dr. Reshmi Varma presented the vote of thanks.
