SRISHTI Club, a Club under the Department of Civil Engineering, MVJCE, organized an event ‘Code Cracking and Technical Presentation’, on 12th August, 2021. The main objective of this event was to encourage students to look beyond their textual knowledge and establish a relationship between the theories and application of the concept learnt, by inter-relating Indian Standard Codes like IRC 37, 48, 58, IS 456, IS 800, 1605, 8009, SP 19 etc. The event was conducted on the Microsoft Teams platform.

The Event comprised three rounds.
ROUND 1: TECHNICAL QUIZ (10.35 AM-10.55 AM)
- 25 Multiple Choice Questions related to general concepts of Civil Engineering
- 15 minutes duration
- Mode of conducting this Round – through Google link
- Participants had to use their own devices (mobile/laptop)
- Once the stipulated time was over, the link would be closed and no requests would be entertained
- Results were decided on the basis of the highest score along with time taken to complete the Quiz
ROUND 2: CODE CRACKING (10:55 AM-11:30 AM)
- Shortlisted students from Round-1 were eligible for Round-2
- On the spot Technical PPT preparation and presentation on the same. The topic was given by expert panel members, Dr. N. Vetrivel and Prof. Muralidhara R
- Students had to prepare and present within the given time.
- Time duration for PPT preparation – 15 minutes
- Presentation Time – Maximum 10 minutes
RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS
- One person can submit the form only once. No negative marking.
- Those who achieve the maximum score in the least time will be placed higher in the rank list, and in case of a tie, decision based on time of submission.
- The decision of the organizers with respect to the results will be final. No queries in this regard will be entertained.
- Any participant found indulging in any form of malpractice will be immediately disqualified.
- Reasons like network issues, device issues etc. will not be considered.
- All the rounds are conducted online.
- Round 1 Questions will be provided through google link.
Round 2 and Round 3: Only selected students will be given the online google link.
