Curriculum
  • Discover the captivating realm of Information Science and Engineering with this dynamic four-year undergraduate program. Delve into diverse domains including computation, algorithm design and analysis, programming languages, software design, Information Theory, IoT and Smart Sensors, Agile Software Engineering, DEVOPS, and beyond!
  • In the second year of the B.Tech program in Information Science and Engineering, you’ll delve into courses like Operating Systems, Systems Software, Application Software, Networking, Programming Languages, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Database Management, File Structures, and Object-Oriented Programming through Java, Biology For Engineers, Universal human values course comprising of 40 credits.
  • During the third year of the B.Tech program in Information Science and Engineering, you’ll explore subjects such as Full Stack Development, Blockchain Technology, Theory of Computations, Internet of Things, Software Engineering & Project Management, Computer Networks, Machine Learning and Project Phase I with total credits of 22 in 5th semester and 18 credits in 6th semester.
  • During final year of the B.Tech program in Information Science and Engineering, you’ll explore subjects such as Cryptography and Network Security, Big Data Analytics, Parallel Computing, Information & Network Security, and Project Phase II. The 7th semester comprises a total of 24 credits, while the 8th semester consists of 16 credits, including Professional Elective-IV (Online Courses, NPTEL/SWAYAM), Open Elective-III (Online Courses, NPTEL/SWAYAM), and Internship (Industry/Research) spanning 14-20 weeks.
  • Students have the option to select from the following electives: Professional Elective – Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Unix System Programming, Distributed Systems, Blockchain Technology, Internet of Things, Compiler Design, Cloud Computing, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Embedded Systems, Distributed File Systems.
  • Students have the option to select from the following electives: Open Elective – Occupational Health and Safety Management, Sustainability Concepts in Engineering, Nano Science & Nano Technology, Principles of Communication, Non-Conventional Energy Sources, Smart Sensors and Systems for Industrial Applications, Automotive Engineering, Operations Management, Sensor Technology, Digital Image Processing, Engineering Economics, Introduction to Aerospace History, Introduction to Composite Structures, Introduction to MATLAB & Simulink.
  • Some domains related to information technology where students can pursue internships and certification programs are Cybersecurity Data Science, Web Development, Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Mobile App Development, Internet of Things (IoT), DevOps, Blockchain Technology, Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
