The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized an Add on lecture on “Electricity Transmission and Distribution System”. The session was organized on 3rd July 2024. The event was from 1:30 pm to 3:15 pm. 49 students of 4th semester and the faculty of EEE department attended the event. The Event was presided by Dr. Shima Ramesh Maniyath, HOD, EEE, MVJCE. The session was handled by Mr. G. Sivaraj, Consultant- Hydro Engineers and Consultants Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore.
The event started at 1:30 pm with a welcome speech and guest introduction. Then the stage was handed over to Mr. G. Sivaraj. He started the lecture with his introduction to students and then he explained about single line diagram, power generation and generating plant like thermal, Hydro and nuclear power plant then he continued with what is transmission and types of transmission and distribution of power system. He explained his experience with the students and also, he shared his experience of kabini project.
