Chemistry Club Activity Topic: Chemistry Puzzle : Chemistry Tirivia.
This program is intended for first year chemistry cycle students. 80 students (16 teams) registered and 76 students (14 teams) participated in the event.
The activity was conducted in 2 rounds. In the first round students were asked to make models/charts/powerpoint presentations on the topic “Polymers in daily life”.
Students prepared charts detailing 1). Applications of polymers in daily life, 2). Environment and health hazards of polymers, 3). Novel and alternate route for polymers synthesis, 4). Biopolymers, 5). Effective polymer waste management, and 6). Polymers RRR (Reduce-Reuse-Recycle).
Guest for the event Dr. Muthulakshmi and chemistry faculties Dr. Budigi Lokesh, Dr. Swetha Madamala, Dr. Swathi Lal, Dr. Basavaraju Bennehalli, Dr. Magesan P and Dr. Prathap Kumar M evaluated the students presentations.
