Event Description:

A National Level Electric Bike Design Challenge, Season 2 (EDBC’22), was organized by Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, where 12 Teams from all over India (10 teams from Tamil Nadu, 1 team from Andhra Pradesh, 1 team from Karnataka) participated for the E-Bike design challenge.

This event is entirely different from other events, because here, both manufacturing of the vehicle as well as retrofitting are included. This event is based entirely on the Innovation on Drive train and other aspects.

The event was divided in two classes:

  • Retrofitting Class – The Purpose of this segment of a retrofitted bike is to provide immense riding pleasure to the users without altering the essence of the bike. A Light Weight Vehicle of this class will provide an ultimate eco-friendly and economical cruising experience to end users.
  • Manufacturing Class – The Purpose of this segment is to manufacture an Electric Motorbike which in future would meet the commercial requirements that can help people incline towards E-Mobility

  • Range 60-70km per charge, which varies based on speed
