in round 1 and 26 in round 2.
BENGALURU: MVJ College of Engineering celebrated Founder’s Day on Sunday, marking the 98th birth an- niversary of its founder, M.V. Jayaraman. The event paid tribute to Dr. Jayara- man’s contributions to en- gineering education. High-
er Education Minister Dr. M.C. Sudhakar was the chief guest. Also present was M.J. Mohan, chairman of MVJ Medical College and Research Hospital and se- cretary of the Venkatesha Education Society.
The Electronics and Communication Engineering Department organised an expert talk titled“The Language of Frequencies: Powering Today’s Communication World” on 19th May from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Smt.Rajalakshmi Jayaraman Seminar Hall, with Mr. Prasanna Kumar, Associate Director at Mobileum, as the distinguished resource person. Around 180 students attend the session. The lecture focused on the fundamentals and real-time applications of communication systems, particularly emphasizing the crucial role of frequency in modern communication technologies.
The Department of Computer Science Engineering organised a Workshop event titled” The LaTeX Workshop “, which was conducted on 18th April 2026 at 9:30 AM in Seminar Hall–03. The event was organised by the Nova Innovative Compskey (NIC) technical club to introduce students to LaTeX, a high-quality typesetting
system widely used for technical and scientific documentation. The workshop provided both theoretical understanding and hands-on exposure to participants.
The 98 th Birth Anniversary of Dr. M. V. Jayaraman, commemorated as Founder’s Day, was celebrated on 17 th May 2026 at the Dr. M. V. Jayaraman Auditorium, MVJ College of Engineering.
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized an engaging technical activity titled “One Day Workshop on Robots That Learn: How Foundation Models Are Changing Robotics” on 16.05.2026 at 9:30 am – 3:30 pm. The event was held in lab room number 334, with enthusiastic participation from around 42 students, delivered by Mr. Prabhat Shankar, Industrial AI Solutions Lead at ABB, for students from ECE and other streams. The event provided an insightful overview of how modern AI techniques, such as imitation learning and foundation models, are transforming traditional robotics into intelligent, adaptable systems. The workshop combined conceptual sessions with hands-on exposure, allowing students to understand and explore the Integration of vision, language, and action in next-generation robotic applications.
The Department of Computer Science Engineering organized a Workshop event titled ”Git and Github” Workshop was conducted on 14th May 2026 at 9:00 AM in Seminar Hall–02. The event was organised by the AWS Student Builder Group (AWS SBG) technical club to introduce students to version control and collaborative software development using Git and GitHub. The workshop helped students learn how to manage code, track project changes, work in teams, create repositories, use branches, commit changes, and contribute to projects efficiently. It also aimed to build practical skills required for real-world development and open-source collaboration.
