The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized an engaging technical activity titled “One Day Workshop on Robots That Learn: How Foundation Models Are Changing Robotics” on 16.05.2026 at 9:30 am – 3:30 pm. The event was held in lab room number 334, with enthusiastic participation from around 42 students, delivered by Mr. Prabhat Shankar, Industrial AI Solutions Lead at ABB, for students from ECE and other streams. The event provided an insightful overview of how modern AI techniques, such as imitation learning and foundation models, are transforming traditional robotics into intelligent, adaptable systems. The workshop combined conceptual sessions with hands-on exposure, allowing students to understand and explore the Integration of vision, language, and action in next-generation robotic applications.
The Department of Computer Science Engineering organized a Workshop event titled ”Git and Github” Workshop was conducted on 14th May 2026 at 9:00 AM in Seminar Hall–02. The event was organised by the AWS Student Builder Group (AWS SBG) technical club to introduce students to version control and collaborative software development using Git and GitHub. The workshop helped students learn how to manage code, track project changes, work in teams, create repositories, use branches, commit changes, and contribute to projects efficiently. It also aimed to build practical skills required for real-world development and open-source collaboration.
MVJ College of Engineering organises sports events every year in memory of the Founder Chairman, Dr. M.V. Jayaraman. The 20th Dr. M.V. Jayaraman Memorial Inter-Collegiate Leather Ball Cricket Tournament 2026 was organised from 07th May 2026 to 14th May 2026.
We are proud to congratulate RUPIN V R, a third-year Computer Science and Design student, on his outstanding achievement in the deadlift competition held at Global Academy of Technology on 14 May 2026. Securing a Gold Medal in the Under 90 kg category by lifting an impressive 252 kg, along with being honored as the Best Lifter across all categories, is truly commendable.

The Department of Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering organised an Add-on Lecture on “Aircraft Design and Airworthiness” for the undergraduate students to enhance their technical knowledge and practical understanding of modern aircraft systems and certification procedures. The session was delivered by Shri Senthilkumar G, who shared his expertise and industrial experience in the field of aerospace engineering.
The GDG On Campus MVJCE Club organised a Workshop titled Machine Learning Bootcamp on May 6th 2026 (06/05/2025) from 01.30 PM to 3.30 PM at Seminar
Hall 1.
The workshop aimed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of Machine Learning and provide hands-on experience using modern tools and techniques. The comprehensive session focused on building foundational understanding and practical exposure to Machine Learning concepts and workflows.
