A Guest Lecture was organized by the Department of Chemistry on 14th March, 2023, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, in Dr. M V Jayaraman Auditorium, on the topic ‘SOLID STATE CHEMISTRY AND MULTIFUNCTIONAL MATERIALS FOR ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT SUSTAINABILITY AND BIOSENROS’, by Prof. C. Shivakumara, Principle Research Scientist, Solid State and Structural Chemistry Unit, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru.

The Department of Mathematics, MVJ College of Engineering organized a MATLITE Club Activity ‘Math Mapping Treasure’ on 11th March 2023 at room 316.
A Guest lecture on Mathematics in Modern Era was organized by the Department of Mathematics, MVJCE, on 11th March, 2023. The lecture was organized at M. V. Jayaraman Auditorium, for First-year students.
The Tensor Club of MVJCE was proud to host this event for all the students. The event ‘TENSOR TECHBYTES ‘ was an event consisting of 2 rounds which was conducted as a team of two participants (minimum) to four participants(maximum) in both round 1 and round 2.
A one-day Industrial Visit to Yelesandra Solar Power Plant 3MW, Kolar, was organized by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, on 10th March 2023, for the 6th semester students of the department. 30 of our students visited the organization, accompanied by faculty members Dr. Soumya Mishra and Mrs. Vaishali N B.
LoRa WAN Based IOT and Image/ Video Analytics using Deep Learning was organized by the ECE and IIOT Departments, from 9th to 11th March, 2023. The Workshop received an overwhelming response, with more than 50 participants attending it. The Workshop was a combination of Lecture sessions and Hands-on demonstration sessions, on image and video analytics and LoRaWAN techniques.
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a ‘Six-Day Hands-On Workshop on ROS-1 and Mobile Robotics’, under CoE in Robotics and Industrial Automation, on 06th March 2023. Students got to know about the basics of Raspberry Pi, ROS Software, Linux based commands and Gazebo Simulation, through this training programme. This Workshop was coordinated by Dr. Soumya Sundar Pattanayak (AP/ECE) and Mr. L. David William Raj (AP/ECE). 60 students from ECE, ISE, CSE and AI/ML participated in this Workshop.
