A classroom activity on Design thinking and Innovation was conducted for students in order to give
students an idea on how design thinking leads to innovation.

The Seminar on the topic “Design Thinking and Innovation” was conducted on 09.12.2021 from 3.10 – 4.10 pm by Department of Mechanical Engineering, MVJ College of Engineering. The
Speaker was Dr. Sunil Shankar Waddar, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, MVJ College of Engineering, Bangalore.

Department of Aerospace Engineering of MVJ College of Engineering organized a
seminar on “IPR & Technology Transfer” on 8th Dec 2021, to introduce the students
about various aspects intellectual property rights. Through this seminar, the learners will
come to know the importance of intellectual property rights for scientific and business
community. This session also familiarized the audience towards the requirements and
procedure to go for intellectual property rights.

On the 3rd of December 2021, MVJ College of Engineering arranged and presented a
seminar from 2:30 to 3:30 PM on “Entrepreneurship Development” to encourage students to
come up with unique business ideas. “Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take
you everywhere” said by Albert Einstein was the thinking that inspired this activity. This
event sought to raise awareness among students about entrepreneur, entrepreneurship and
their qualities.

Electronics and Communication Engineering Department of MVJ College of Engineering,
organized and conducted a seminar on “Design thinking and Innovation” on 2
nd Dec 2021,
to motivate students to come up with innovative ideas for projects and business proposals. In
this event students learnt about importance of skills and mindsets of an engineer involved in
innovative works and implementation

Electronics and Communication Engineering Department of MVJ College of Engineering,
organized and conducted a classroom activity on “Entrepreneurship Development” on 1st
Dec 2021, to motivate students to become Entrepreneurs and develop Enterprising skills. In
this event students learnt about importance of skills and mindsets of entrepreneurs and
involved in an activity to compare a physical structure anatomy for entrepreneurship skills.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, organised workshop on Application on ANSYS
workbench, on 23/10/2021 at Smt. Rajalakshmi Jayaraman Seminar Hall, from 10:30 AM to
1.30PM. The resource speaker Mr Vijay S, Senior Engineer – Stress Analysis Capgemini
Engineering India Ltd. The seminar was organized at the Department level for third year students
of Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering, around 150 seating capacity.

The Software Development Club (SDC) and Department of CSE, MVJ College of
Engineering, organized a Seminar on ‘Recent Trends in IoT and its Applications’, on 28th October,
2021. The Resource Speaker was Mr. Syed Abdul (HCL Technologies, Bangalore). The main
objective of the session was to create an awareness about the Internet of Things (IoT), its usage and
impacts on real life, its industrial applications etc.
