Workshop on ‘Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in the field of Electrical Engineering’

The Department of Electrical and Eelectronics Engineering organized a Workshop on the topic ‘Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in the field of Electrical Engineering’. The programme was organized from 22nd to 24th December 2022, at Smt. Rajalakshmi Seminar Hall. The event started at 10.00 am and concluded at 03.30 pm. The 7th, 5th and 3rd semester students and the faculty of EEE department attended the programme.

3-day STTP on ‘Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, in the field of Electrical Engineering’Dr.Suresh Rao felicitating the Resource Person Mr. Apoorva M Ankad.

The event started at 10.15 am with welcome speech and guest introduction. Mr. Apoorva M Ankad, Co-Founder and Head, Deevia Software India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, took over the two sessions of Day 1. In the first session, he spoke at length on ‘Introduction to AI, ML DL; Basic concepts of AI, tools, applicability of AI; Adoption of ML and DL’.

In Session 2, he gave brief lecture on ‘Use cases in the area of automotive, Industrial automation, retail/supply chain/Demand forecasting and NLP use cases.

The event started at 10:15am with a welcome speech. Dr. Sandeep Kumar E took over both the sessions of Day 2. In Session 1, he delivered a lecture on ‘Introduction to Machine Learning, Algorithms – supervised Linear and logistic regression with examples, MLP/ANNs with an example, K-mean clustering with an example in python notebook’. In Session 2, he presented a lecture on ‘Deep Learning basics-CNNs and sequential learners; CNNs with an example – classification of images (will be simulated in python notebook); LSTMs with an example (will be simulated in python notebook)’.

The event started at 10:15 am with a welcome speech. Mr. Joydeep Bhattacharjee took over both the sessions of Day 3. In Session 1, he delivered a lecture on ‘Introduction to semiconductors, using AI; Python programming for Semiconductor’. Session 2 was a hands-on session on ‘Modern NLP and AI, with examples using python notebook’.

  • Introduction to NLP for different applications in Electrical field
