Class of ’99: Silver Jubilee Celebration Report 2025 On Saturday, April 5th, 2025, MVJ College of Engineering hosted its Alumni Gathering of Class of ’99: Silver Jubilee Celebration in the Smt.Rajalakshmi Seminar Hall. This event was organized to reconnect, celebrate their successes, and reminisce about their time at the college.
The Seminar on the topic “Design Thinking and Innovation” was conducted on 09.12.2021 from 3.10 – 4.10 pm by Department of Mechanical Engineering, MVJ College of Engineering. The Speaker was Dr. Sunil Shankar Waddar, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, MVJ College of Engineering, Bangalore.
Activities organised within the institute towards promoting & supporting Innovation, IPR and Start-up Academic year – 2021 – 2022 (Quarter – III) Title of the Program : Project Selection based on Innovation and Design Thinking Process
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has organized the club activity under E-FORZA “TechXcel - Engineering the SDG Revolution” on 29.03.2025. Participating students across various streams had to exhibit their project designed from scratch in this competition. This competition is a unique testing the ingenuity, assembly skills, and understanding of practical problems in the Sustainable Development Goals. 103 students from ECE and various other branches, including students of second year, and third year students participated in this club activity
The Departments of EC(Advanced Communication Technology) and Industrial IoT organized an add-on lecture on the topic ‘Communication Systems’ on 29.03.2025 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, in Seminar Hall-3. Students from 4th semester EC(ACT), Industrial IoT and ECE department attended the add-on lecture. The Lecture was delivered by Dr. V S Gangwar, Scientist-F & Project Director-RUHM, Defense Research and Development Organization, Bangalore.
The meeting began with Dr. Santhosh N, HoD (in charge), Dept of Mechanical Engineering, thanking the esteemed management, Principal, Deans, COE, Registrar, and esteemed members of the Department Advisory Committee (DAC), to the meeting.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI (GenAI) are rapidly transforming business operations across industries, from banking and finance to marketing and human resources. With AI-driven solutions optimizing processes, reducing costs, and enhancing customer experiences, organizations worldwide are integrating AI into their core strategies. Recognizing the significance of these advancements, the Department of Management Studies at MVJ College of Engineering organized a two-day Short-Term Training Program (STP) on "Application of AI and Generative AI in the Corporate World" on the 28th and 29th of March 2025. The training aimed to equip MBA students with hands-on experience in AI-powered business solutions and prepare them for the evolving corporate landscape.
A Guest Lecture on the topic “ASIC flow for chip manufacturing” was organized at MVJ College of Engineering on 28th March 2025, providing students with a platform to explore cutting-edge ASIC technology for chip design. The event brought together students, faculty, and industry professionals to discuss advancements in ASIC technologies and explore opportunities related to projects, internships, and careers.
WORKSHOP ON “HANDS-ON AUTOMATION WITH PLC AND SCADA” The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a workshop on ‘Hands-on Automation with PLC and SCADA’, on 28th March,2025 and 29th March,2025. Students from the fourth and sixth semesters along with faculty members from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering participated in the program.
Srishti Club Activity on Model Making of Energy Efficient and Thermal Comfort Buildings The Srishti Club of MVJ College of Engineering successfully organized a model-making event on Energy Efficient and Thermal Comfort Buildings on 27th March 2025. The event aimed to foster innovation and creativity among students in the domain of sustainable and energy-efficient building designs.
The Department of IIOT successfully organized a one-day workshop on "Python Programming & Its Certifications" on 8th March 2025, from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM at the NI-LabVIEW Lab (Room No 203). A total of 39 students from the 4th semester IIOT, VLSI, ECE, and 6th semester IIOT actively participated in the workshop. The sessions were conducted by the resource person namely Mr.Muthukkumar R., Senior Silicon Validation Engineer, Tessolve Semiconductor, Bangalore.
Department of Civil Engineering, MVJCE, organized a Guest Lecture on “Rural & Urban Development - Role of Smart Cities”, on 21st March 2025. The main objective of the event was to encourage students to look beyond their theoretical knowledge and co-relate the theories they learn in the classroom with the application of Rural & Urban Development for the of Smart City upgradation. The event was conducted in seminar hall 6. Total 50 students and all the faculty members from the Civil Engineering department participated.
