NSS

The National Service Scheme (NSS), under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, is a voluntary community service program for students. It encourages youth to take part in nation-building activities and engage with the community meaningfully.

Objectives:

  • To understand the community in which they work
  • To develop a sense of social and civic responsibility
  • To utilise their knowledge in finding practical solutions to individual and community problems
  • To develop leadership qualities and democratic attitudes

 Activities Conducted:

  • Regular camps and special camps focusing on rural development
  • Health camps, blood donation drives, and hygiene awareness programs
  • Tree plantation and environmental awareness
  • Literacy and education drive
  • Disaster management training and relief efforts

Motto: “Not Me, But You” – emphasising selfless service and community welfare
