Curriculum

DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING

  • The Curriculum of the PG Program in Computer Science Engineering has been framed to meet the NEP (National Education Policy) requirements, by focusing on a holistic approach to the teaching-learning process.
  • The Curriculum has been carefully designed, taking into consideration all the recommendations of NEP, with inputs from eminent experts from Academia and Industry.
  • The course structure has 80 Credits, with 22 in the Odd semester and 18 in the Even semester. Courses related to Skill and Career advancements have been added to the program.
  • Professional Core subjects like Cloud Computing, Fundamental of Data sciences, Multimedia communications, along with Internet Of Things & applications that is integrated with skill-based laboratory are included in 1st Semester.
  • The course has specific Ability Enhancement Courses (AEC) in the fields of Health monitoring, under online platforms like NPTEL, SWAYAM and other MOOCs, to enhance the professional skills of students.
  • The Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning laboratory are focused on the research and application of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. It aims to deploy cutting-edge methodologies in various areas of Artificial Intelligence by conducting research in both the theoretical and application aspects of it.
  • The Internet Of Things Laboratory focuses on a number of research topics, such as low-power sensors, data-transmission technologies, resilient runtime environments and middleware software components as well as data analysis and data visualization tools.
  • Professional Electives covering different fields of Computer science Engineering like Cloud Security, Blockchain Technology, Object Oriented Software Engineering,  Advances in Storage Area Network , Advances in Data Base Management, Advances in Computer Networks, Mobile Application Development, Data science, pattern Recognition, Natural language Processing, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Advances in software testing, Agile technologies, Decision support system, Cyber Security and Cyber law, along with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Laboratory are included in the 2nd and 3rd semesters.
  • The foundation of various areas of study in the Computer Science is Discrete Structures included in different modules in this subject. The topics are selected to serve as the base for other subjects essential for a PG course in Computer Science Engineering.
  • Advanced Mathematical method, Research methodology and IPR have been included in the scheme, to improve the computation skills and research perspective of students and equip them to approach societal challenges effectively.
  • Students will be required to opt for Internships, Mini-Projects, Seminars, Online Certification Courses and project work on societal issues. These help in the comprehensive development of our students – one of the important goals of NEP.
  • The Curriculum for the Post graduate program in Computer Science Engineering ensures that the Postgraduates who leave the portals of MVJCE at the end of two years, are skilled professionals who possess great character and a social consciousness to transform the society around them.
