Marking the 77th Independence Day, MVJ College of Engineering resonated with the vibrant echoes of patriotism on the 15th of August, 2023. The day commenced with an impressive parade, orchestrated by the diligent NCC students, who guided the esteemed guests towards the Flag post. A Guest Lecture on Industrialization and its Impact on Environment and Society was organized by the Department of Chemical Engineering, MVJCE on August 14, 2023, from 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM in the seminar hall 5, MVJCE. The Guest Speaker for the event was D.R. Kumaraswamy, Former member secretary, of Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, Bangalore. The lecture was attended by 86 participants from inside (faculty and students) of MVJCE.
A Club activity on “Fun with science” was organized by the Department of Chemical Engineering, MVJCE on August 14, 2023, from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM in seminar hall 5, MVJCE. The Department of Aeronautical Engineering hosted a guest lecture on Prototype Aircraft Flight Testing by Rajendra Singh Makker (Retd), Designate Examiner and Instructor, Spicejet Limited, Bangalore. It was a highly informative and engaging event that took place on October 5, 2023 in Seminar hall 4. The session aimed to provide insights into the intricate aspects of various innovations and trends in Flight testing.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, organised guest lecture on FEA & Industrial Applications, on August 4, 2023, at Dr. M V Jayaraman Auditorium from 01.30 PM to 04.00 PM. The resource speaker was Shri Chandan Inamdar, Design Engineer – II, Applied Materials. The seminar was organized for 6th semester ME students, 4th semester AE and AS students. 31 students of 6th sem ME, 59 students of 4th sem AE and 33 students of 4th sem AS participated in the event.
The Astronomy club associated with Department of Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering, MVJ College of Engineering organized an industrial visit to the Gauribidanur Radio Observatory, a significant radio astronomy facility operated by the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) on 02nd August 2023.
